Talk by Prof. Dr. Ewan Birney in the context of our Distinguished Speaker Series

On Wednesday, January 11, 2012, Prof. Dr. Ewan Birney (European Bioinformatics Institute (EBI), Cambridge, UK) will give a talk in the context of the CBI Distinguished Speaker Series. The talk is entitled "Understanding biology using individual differences" and will be held in Room 001, CBI (Building E 2.1) at 17:00 (sharp).

Abstract:

The recent explosion in genomic sequence data has allowed entirely new ways to explore basic biology in the context intra-species variation. I will present work on exploring basic biological mechanisms in both Drosophila and Human using variation between individuals.
