Talk by Dr. Simon Anders on the differential analysis of RNA-Seq and ChiP-Seq data

On Wednesday, February 22, 2012, Dr. Simon Anders (EMBL, Heidelberg) will give a talk on "Design and analysis of quantitative RNA-Seq experiments" and will be held in room 001, CBI (Building E 2.1) at 2pm (sharp).

Abstract:

In this talk, I will give an overview about the statistical properties of count data as one typically deals with in RNA-Seq experiments, and discuss their implications for the planning and analysis of comparative transcriptomics experiments. I will also present our tools DESeq and DEXSeq, which allow inference, respectively, of differential expression and differential exon usage."
